exciting times for dc united... finally...
I was just reviewing this story from DC United's website. Not sure if you have been to RFK recently, but this is way past due. My brother and I went to see the Washington Diplomats at RFK many moons ago and it was not the best place. Don't get me wrong, RFK has great views from most seats and it has hosted so many great and memorable games (Riggo drills too)
The problem with RFK is it is just old and does not offer the great amenities to the fans. This will be a big boost to the MLS and to soccer in general. 25,000 seats is great but I am a little concerned about the size of the stadium but hopefully it will be built with expansion possible.
Overall - big time step for DC United - congratulations.

Cutting the budget
With all the talk going on in DC about the budget cut that is taking place you would think that this is the end of the world.
According to Politico (http://www.politico.com/story/2013/03/sequester-pain-starts-with-drip-ends-with-torrent-88276.html) it is going to be a slow process of really understanding the impact of the cuts.
People are going to realize that they are going to have less service from the government and have to do more for themselves. The scare tactics are crazy and I hope that the two parties in DC can figure out how to get the USA working again and create new revenue from new employees paying taxes and not increasing the taxes of people who are working now...
Let me know your POV... dg
